Who We Are
 Cornerstone
Sunday School Class...
Cornerstone is an adult class made
up of singles and couples with an age span of
approximately (nobody knows for sure!) 60 to 75 year
olds.
Currently we have teaching: on a
rotation: Don Harrison, Edge Farley, and Sonny Turner. We encourage
membership participation and enjoy lively discussion in
our lesson presentation. Generally we follow the
International Sunday School Lesson Series, but
occasionally take periods of time for special thematic
studies. Some of those have included The Grace of God,
The Holy Spirit, The Purpose Driven Life, and
Resurrection…Heaven…New Earth.
We plan quarterly socials in
various settings, and always try to follow Dr. Dale
Anderson’s advice from his book, “Never Act Your Age.” (www.acthappy.com)
Our Mission Projects have included
financial support and prayer for:
- Concern For Kids (Iraq
Ministry)
- Campus Crusade Russian
Missionary, Allison Bryant
- Mission Mississippi (Biloxi
rebuilding aftermath of Katrina)
- Local Projects as needed
The shield of faith divided into 4 parts by the cross
Bible represents our belief and teaching that is Bible
based
The flame represents the power of the Holy Spirit in our
lives
The shepherd's crook represents the servant's heart that
we hope shows in our service
The crown represents Jesus as our King |
