UPWARD Soccer is RIGHT around corner. This year, we strive for it to be bigger and better than ever! In order for this to happen, we WILL need your help to better reach the community and provide a well maintained sports program.
The Upward Soccer season is a 9 week program that spans from the end of March to the end of May. There are a total of 8 games (each Saturday morning), 1 practice a week, and 1 practice week at the beginning of the season.
What we need is: Coaches, Refs & Volunteers.
COACHES & REFS: Even if you know NOTHING about soccer, you can still do it! The practices and drills are simple and easy to understand. We would love to have at least TEN(10) teams, so 10 coaches.
Each Saturday, there will be 5 games in the morning. We need at least ONE(1) ref PER game, but you can ref more than one game per morning. So, we will need at least 2 refs each Saturday.
VOLUNTEERS: These are the meat and potatoes! We will need volunteers for registration night, for the trial evaluations, to help prepare the fields for game day, and half time devotions (for each game).
We understand that 8 weekends is a lot to give up, and so we are praying enough volunteers will come on board that we can provide a rotation of duties that may only require every other weekend, or one weekend a month.
As a coach, there is a committment of 9 weeks (1 practice week, 8 week season with one practice each week and game on Saturday).
