Children's Activities

Under the direction of the Minister of Youth and Activities, activities which foster Christian fellowship among children are planned year round.  These activities include the annual Fall Festival, Easter Gathering, and other seasonal events.

Our church has an active Awana program which begins each fall and ends in May.  Please click here for more information.

The kickoff event for each summer is Vacation Bible School.

All children's activities are open to the community and the church membership is encouraged to invite children who do not have a church home.

Fall Festival

October 26, 2008

For children of all ages.

Our Children’s Sunday School ages 4-4th. grade enjoys the Children’s Rotation Model Workshop approach to teaching.  We teach major Bible stories and concepts through kid-friendly multimedia workshops: An Art/Crafts workshop, Drama, Music, Games, A-V, Puppets, Storytelling, cooking, and any other educational media you can get your hands on. We teach the same Bible story in all of the workshops for four weeks rotating the children to a different workshop each week. The kids love it, the teachers love it, and we can't ever imagine going back to the old way." We feel that the story being told in different mediums will help the children learn it and keep it in their heart always.

Stepping Stones Learning Center

Realizing the need for quality childcare in a Christian environment, FBC included space in their building program for Stepping Stones Learning Center. Opening in 1999, it has been dedicated to providing quality child care to Putnam County and the surrounding communities.  The staff and administration of Stepping Stones take very seriously the responsibility of encouraging the physical, social, emotional, spiritual and cognitive development of the children placed in their care.
